Making your home more comfortable and energy efficient

Efficiency in your home starts here. We're here to help you make your home more efficient and comfortable. Whether it's a retro-fit of your existing home, a renovation your planning, or wanting to reduce your utility bills. Ecomad has a range of products and services to help you.

Home Energy Efficiency Assessment

Your first Step to an Energy Efficiency Home.

Merri-bek City Council can help you make your home cooler in summer and warmer in winter. If you own your home and live on a low income, Council may pay up to $2,000 to install insulation or seal up the gaps in your home.

Energy saving upgrades on your home can reduce your energy bills and make your home more energy efficient.

You can be more comfortable in your home and contribute to a bright future for our community.

Council have partnered with Ecomad to deliver this program. Ecomad will support you all the way through the process.

Energy_Case_Study_Dorothy.pngDorothy, a Gowanbrae resident, contacted Council because she had a lot of draughts in her home and wanted to save on bills. Through the
program, she received draught-proofing around external doors and fully installed roof insulation– all for free.

“Don’t hesitate to contact Council about the program.
It’s free and it’s wonderful!” says Dorothy.

If you are a Merri-bek resident and have participated in Energy Savvy Upgrades or earlier rounds of a Merri-bek City Council subsidy program – you are not eligible for this program.

Please contact Merri-bek's energy officer Katherine on 9304 9717.
